Insightly Reveals Five Predictions for the 2024 MarTech Stack https://www.insightly.com/blog/press-releases/predictions-2024/ Tue, 16 Jan 2024 04:18:05 +0000 https://www.insightly.com/?post_type=press-releases&p=23371 CRM Leader Says AI, Personalization, Integration, Cost Considerations, and Data Security Will Dominate

San Francisco, CA – January 16, 2024Today, Insightly, the modern, affordable CRM teams love, reveals its top takeaways from 2023 and predictions for the 2024 MarTech stack. In partnership with Ascend2, the report, The Future of MarTech 2024, surveyed over 300 marketing professionals from small to mid-size businesses for deeper insights, which revealed that integration, data analysis, and cost considerations will continue to be top of mind.

“In 2023, we saw a concentrated effort to focus on customer needs – because companies grow with satisfied customers – and the businesses who did it best used MarTech effectively to ensure a smooth experience,” said Anthony Smith, CEO of Insightly. “While at the heart, customer experience will always be central to successful business strategies, our predictions for 2024 are more focused on business operations. Companies this year will look at their tech stacks critically and make changes – 64% of those surveyed say their current MarTech is somewhat successful, which means there is certainly room for improvement.”

Here’s a look at Insightly’s top predictions for 2024 MarTech stacks:

1. Cost Considerations: Overwhelmingly, the respondents shared that their biggest concern is the cost of their marketing tech stack. With 63% expressing this concern, we know that small and mid-size businesses, many of which have been impacted over the last few years by Covid and the economy, need to ensure that they’re spending the right amount of money in the right places to see their revenue and customer bases grow. With that said, 45% of respondents reported that 10-20% of their budget will be dedicated to MarTech and the associated expenses of management, training, and platform costs in 2024, showing they know the value that MarTech investments bring to their business.

2. AI Co-pilots: AI stole the show in 2023 and it will continue to be an important asset moving forward. The Future of MarTech report found that 50% of respondents saw AI having the most impact on their SaaS product in the coming future. What does that mean for the SaaS industry? AI is becoming a critical tool for team productivity, but it should not be the main focus. AI works best as a co-pilot, reducing manual labor that comes with the optimization of the software. In 2024, companies should ensure that their tech stack has efficient and streamlined processes, which may include AI. But it also should not make or break a company’s decision when considering investing in a product that does or does not include AI. The leaders will focus on whether AI supports the product in a way that allows them to have a more seamless workflow or improved efficiency and outcomes.

3. Content Personalization:  43% of respondents say that this trend will have the most significant impact on digital marketing strategies in the next five years, so 2024 will certainly see more personalized content for consumers. The new email restrictions from both Google and Yahoo being released in early 2024 aimed at reducing unwanted email will only enhance the need for personalization. With more AI integrations, plus smart, interconnected marketing tools that allow creators to customize their campaigns and funnels based on interests of their customers, this is a top way to build those relationships and create brand loyalty.

4. Integrated Technology Impact: With 32% of respondents sharing that the integration of their tools is a current top challenge within their MarTech stack, it’s no surprise that companies will continue to look for ways to ensure their various SaaS systems are communicating with each other seamlessly. And if not? They probably won’t make the cut. Instead, with that healthy MarTech budget mentioned above, companies are considering changing their stack or adding new tools that integrate – with 88% of respondents saying that these integrations are essential for their teams to stay organized and mitigate the overuse of multiple unnecessary applications.

5. Data Security: Another top concern of 45% of respondents, data security will continue to be a must for companies of all sizes. With AI, multiple SaaS applications, and customization also comes the responsibility to protect that collected information and prevent it from being stolen by bad actors. SOC2, data encryption, HIPAA compliance, two-factor authentication, strong passwords, and good training for employees all help to keep that data safe and the trust in your company.

In 2024, Insightly remains committed to providing exceptional customer experiences and being an essential asset to the MarTech stack. For more information on how you can scale and support your business processes, visit www.insightly.com

Insightly Releases Modern CRM Checklist to Help Businesses Assess Their Software Capabilities https://www.insightly.com/blog/press-releases/insightly-releases-modern-crm-checklist/ Wed, 10 May 2023 20:20:45 +0000 https://www.insightly.com/?post_type=press-releases&p=20831 Leader in CRM Finds Outdated Systems Lead to High Costs, Hidden Fees, and Integration Issues

San Francisco, CA – May 16, 2023 – Today, Insightly, the modern, affordable CRM teams love, aims to help fast-growing businesses evaluate their software platforms with the release of its Insightly Modern CRM Checklist. The goal is to help businesses evaluate and understand how CRM software should evolve with the changing needs of customers and asks about features including mobile access, implementation, customization, cost, security, and more. With customer expectations at an all-time high and to remain competitive, businesses must provide a seamless, personalized experience at all times, which cannot be done with Legacy CRMs. It’s no wonder that a recent Insightly survey found that 79 percent of companies are dissatisfied with their current CRM software.

“Many companies are still using outdated CRM systems and are overpaying for them, yet still not getting what they need. This hinders their ability to drive growth or to provide superior customer experiences,” said Anthony Smith, CEO of Insightly. “Insightly’s Modern CRM Checklist is designed to help businesses identify key capabilities that are missing from their software and are needed to stay competitive.”

To ensure companies are addressing customer needs in 2023, their CRM platform should deliver all eight of the following features:

  • A predictable (and low) cost: Legacy CRMs have high initial fees and many hidden costs, which can lead to companies spending five times more than the software itself. A modern CRM is affordable, with no surprises in pricing down the road.
  • Scalable and flexible: While Legacy CRMs will be limited in their scope as your business grows and needs change, a modern CRM will do the opposite – since they were built for businesses of all sizes, the platform is flexible and scalable, so it will grow with you.
  • Customization options at a low cost: There is no such thing as “one CRM fits all” anymore. A modern CRM has options to customize that are simple and included in the initial fee without requiring costly add-ons or time-consuming additional training.
  • Mobile access: Between remote work, in-person training, trade shows, and off-site sales meetings, having on-the-go access to CRM is critical. Your employees must be able to pull up their pipeline from anywhere and anytime. A lack of mobile access will not only make your company seem outdated, but it might also cost you a new business lead when out in the field.
  • Easy implementation regardless of location or department: The pace at which people do business today means they don’t have time for the complicated, time-consuming CRM software training of yesteryear. Plus, with many employees working remotely, in-person training is no longer viable. A modern CRM is easily implemented across your company without needing a consultant or full-time CRM employee to assist. In addition, a modern CRM takes only four to eight weeks to implement. Legacy CRMs, on the other hand, take up to six to 12 months!
  • Easy integration with other daily tools: While it used to be that businesses would export CRM data to other internal business tools, those days are long gone. A modern CRM should integrate easily with your other business tools – as in 500+ vendors – because it is built to do so.
  • Additional applications available: Modern CRMs have add-on options such as marketing automation or customer service applications with low or no-code integrations to help align go-to-market teams around a single view of the customer. These applications are all part of a unified platform and shared database, so information flows freely among teams.
  • Security as a top priority: One of the main and arguably most important differences between legacy and modern CRMs is the security feature. When Legacy CRMs were created, this wasn’t much of an issue, so the platform wasn’t built with this in mind. And trying to retrofit older systems is not only difficult, but it can also lead to vulnerabilities. Modern CRMs use features such as SOC 2 Type II certification, two-factor authentication, encryption of data in transit and at rest, HIPAA  compliance, GDPR compliance, and EU/US Privacy Shield to keep your data secure and protect your customers.

“For a company of our size and focus, a legacy CRM like Salesforce would have constrained us too much. The beauty of Insightly is its intuitiveness, which gives us a tremendous amount of immediate value. And its flexibility means we can plan for enhancements to the system in the morning and have the changes implemented by the afternoon,” said Kevin Corne, COO of Sullivan and Stanley. “There’s no way to realize benefits that quickly with Salesforce because it’s not built for speed.”

As a result of the increased demand for Insightly’s modern approach, the platform saw steady, high-level growth across the board in 2022, with a 63 percent YoY growth in customers adopting multiple products across CRM, Marketing, Service, and AppConnect products in our unified platform.

Insightly Survey Reveals Marketing Automation Helps B2B Marketers Improve  Customer Journey and Increase Revenue  https://www.insightly.com/blog/press-releases/insightly-survey-reveals-marketing-automation-helps-b2b-marketers-improve-customer-journey-and-increase-revenue/ Thu, 13 Apr 2023 17:51:13 +0000 https://www.insightly.com/?post_type=press-releases&p=20554 Modern CRM Leader Finds 94% Attribute Automation Tools To Strategic Goal Success

San Francisco, CA – April 13, 2023 – Today, Insightly, the modern, affordable CRM teams love, is revealing new insights to help B2B marketers take advantage of current trends in automation tools and improve their bottom line. A recent survey of nearly 200 B2B marketing leaders found that five out of 10 say that optimization of their overall automation strategy will be a primary goal this year, a sign that this trend continues to grow.

Creating a top-notch customer experience is top-of-mind for nearly every business and marketing automation helps make this process significantly more effective for B2B marketers. An overwhelming majority – 87 percent of those surveyed – said they now have some or all of their customer journeys fully automated. However, only 27 percent agree their marketing tools are optimized to better engage with customers, so there is still room for improvement.

“Companies continue to invest in strategic customer engagement tactics even as many are slashing budgets during this turbulent time,” said Anthony Smith, founder and CEO of Insightly. “In the past year, the number of customers who have adopted our platform, including Insightly Marketing, has increased 66 percent, demonstrating the importance of better managing and automating customer journeys. It drives efficiency and growth for companies of all sizes, helping them better navigate the current volatility and prepare for a more stable economy, too.”

Additional survey findings include:

  • Email marketing is still king, with 62 percent of respondents saying they use that feature in their marketing automation platform.
  • Seventy percent of respondents are increasing their spend for marketing automation this year.
  • Areas that utilize marketing automation the most are: Email marketing, social media, content management, paid ads, and landing pages.

Insightly Marketing is the marketing automation application available in its modern CRM platform. The April 2023 product release included several key updates:

  • Campaign UTM tracking: Every marketer needs to demonstrate the effectiveness and impact of their campaigns. By adding UTM tracking to a URL that is part of a marketing campaign, marketers can now track the specific source, medium, and campaign that brought a lead or contact to their website.
  • Prospect tracking in emails: To help marketers track and measure the content that is most compelling to their audiences, Insightly can now identify and take actions on any prospect whenever they click links in emails, including links to videos or social posts.
  • Transactional email sending: Administrators can now enable transaction emails and communicate with timely and relevant information to customers about their account, passwords, invoicing, shipping, and more.
  • Batch Email Sending: Insightly now can be set to send bulk emails in batches for larger lists so that customers can have them sent out over a longer period of time, which can also be beneficial to email deliverability.

“Insightly Marketing has allowed us to get very specific in our approach and outreach process for customers, and it’s all dependent on their interests,” said Miles Reynolds, CEO of Sport Court Las Vegas. “Everything is very strategic with our marketing because we can now stay in front of customers with content that really matters to them and as a result, have grown 242 percent.”

Insightly Says 2023 Will be the Year of Customer Experience https://www.insightly.com/blog/press-releases/insightly-2023-predictions/ Tue, 10 Jan 2023 06:00:22 +0000 https://www.insightly.com/?post_type=press-releases&p=18794 CRM Platform Shares Predictions for the New Year

San Francisco, CA – January 10, 2023 – Today, Insightly, a modern, scalable customer relationship management (CRM) platform, is sharing predictions for what will be the most important way to elevate the customer experience in 2023. According to a recent Insightly survey of 500 B2B professionals, more than half (55 percent) cited improving their customer experience as a top strategic priority for the year ahead. Customer expectations will be higher than ever as the landscape widens to include the smaller “underdog” disruptors that will come out on top against larger corporations.

“Although the world started to feel somewhat ‘normal’ again this year, the business landscape has forever changed in the past few years,” said Anthony Smith, CEO of Insightly. “Customer expectations are at an all-time high, and how you interact with your customers can make or break your relationships – arguably, even more so with the emergence of new challenges. With the current business climate, 2023 will be the year when customer experience truly separates fast-growing companies from the rest of the pack. ”

To kick off the new year, Insightly is sharing its top six predictions for customer experience trends we can expect to see:

  1. Underdogs will Prevail: If 2022 taught us one thing, it’s that big tech is far from infallible. Some of the biggest tech companies faltered this year, leaving room for up-and-comers in the space to acquire new talent, deliver alternative offerings to the market, and, ultimately, challenge the status quo. In 2023, disruptors will be poised to thrive to fill the gaps that the behemoths are leaving behind. Be on the lookout for emerging growth companies that offer a new way to tackle business issues, but also be aware that if you’re not careful, your once-loyal customers could also consider displacing you with them.
  2. Tighter Budgets and More Scrutiny: While economists say we’re not in a full-fledged recession, the economy remains a bit precarious, and budgets continue to tighten across the board. Expect your customers to keep a closer-than-usual eye on their budgets this year – the days of paying for extra features that may or may not be needed are gone. This means that businesses will need to provide solutions that are both more efficient and cost-effective.
  3. Give the Buyer What they Want – Personalization: Whether you are interacting with a prospective or existing customer, in 2023, it will be critical to treat everyone as individuals and make sure personalization is a priority. Companies must understand each customer’s pain points, ensure timely responses, and provide instant access to experts throughout the customer journey.
  4. Post-Sale is Just the Start: While it used to be the customer relationship ended once the sale did, things have shifted in recent years as subscription-model businesses have dominated the tech space. This means that what companies choose to do post-sale will be equally important in 2023 to build loyalty.  Get to know each and every customer – it’s their birthday? Send a discount code. Did they buy something that has an add-on that would enhance the product? Let them know.
  5. You’ll Need to Pay Attention to AI: If you’ve been dodging this topic, 2023 will be the year that ends. The release of GPT-4 will change the game in that it will be multi-modal. Investments in AI companies will continue to break records, and AI will start to overtly influence business and everyday life.
  6. Seamless Alignment Will Be King: If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it 100 times: to give your customers the best possible experience, you must be aligned internally. Your customers will expect your brand to be fully aware of every interaction they’ve had with your brand – both good and bad. When a customer speaks with someone on your sales team, they will expect that your rep is aware of the conversation with a support agent last week to fix an issue and vice versa. In 2023, this will be table stakes, and it’s time to make sure you’re up to snuff.

Insightly’s platform saw steady, high-level growth across the board in 2022, with a 63 percent YoY growth in customers adopting multiple products across CRM, Marketing, Service, and AppConnect products in our unified platform.
